Born in Hong Kong

Currently lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.

Judy Kong (b.1995) is a Hong Kong-born artist working primarily with time-based media and installation. She obtained her Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University in Australia. Her practice explores the complexity of human emotion, cultural memory, and the experience of displacement. Through abstraction and the reassembly of cinematic visual narratives and personal imagination, she transforms video, sound, material, and text into spatial and perceptual experiences.

Her work has been exhibited at the Hong Kong Arts Centre (Hong Kong), Counihan Gallery (Melbourne), Trocadero Project (Melbourne), and more. She was shortlisted in the Global Creative Graduate Showcase 2023 by Arts Thread (UK). Her work has featured in The HongKonger (UK), and she was interviewed on the radio show HongKongology on 3CR (Melbourne).

She is the 2025 artist in residence at the ACMI X programme in the Australian Centre for the Moving Image (Melbourne).
